The Rocky Mountain Synod is partnering with Colorado Interfaith Power and Light to provide interested congregations with a low-cost, quantitative analysis of their energy use and costs, plus options for reducing energy consumption and estimates of reduced energy costs. We invite you to come hear about the Eco-Audit Program and the results of St. Paul Lutheran's extensive building renovation and energy ‘makeover'.

  • 9:00 - 9:50 am Coffee, juice, rolls, fruit. Optional informal tour of the building
  • 9:50- 9:55 Welcome: Pastor Kevin Maly, St. Paul Lutheran
  • 10:00 - 10:40 The St. Paul Lutheran Experience: Ric White and Jeff Harms,
    church building renovation project leaders:
A journey that started with a decision to replace aging boilers grew to dollars-and-cents based decisions to install new heating and cooling systems and redesign the entire configuration of offices, classrooms and meeting rooms for greater efficiency and community service.
  • 10:40 – 11:20 The Eco-Audit Program: Diane Dandeneau, Executive Director,
Green Heart Institute and Colorado Interfaith Power and Light

Learn more about a program that can help you uncover where you may needlessly be spending money and why it is important to measure your "carbon footprint". We will help you connect the dots between our lifestyle and climate change and help you see that the solutions can be fiscally as well as environmentally beneficial for your congregation and the greater community. Free Eco-Audit packets available!

Please RSVP by Monday, May 21, to Ms. Diana Linden, Minister of Education and Discipleship at diana@stpauldenver.org. Or leave Diana a message at 720-274-4709.
