Harpsichord Recital by Larry Palmer
Monday, July 24, 2006—7:30 pm

Dr. Larry Palmer, Professor and Head of Harpsichord and Organ, Director of Graduate Studies, and University Organist at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, will present a recital of harpsichord music at St. Paul Church in conjunction with the 2006 Harpsichord and Organ Workshop mentioned above. The program is free and open to the public and will feature music by J. S. Bach, Duphly, Mozart, and Schumann, as well as the world premiere of Hommages, a new work written especially for the workshop by Denver composer Glenn Spring. Palmer will also be joined by Kathleen Spring in performing a work by her husband for harpsichord and violin. Do plan to attend this outstanding recital by Cantor Filbert's graduate organ and harpsichord teacher and mentor. It will indeed be a special event for Mark and a unique concert for Music at Saint Paul. As a preview of his concert, Palmer will also play a harpsichord Prelude for the 10:30 am liturgy on Sunday, July 23.
